The Kenya Secondary Schools Sport Association (KSSSA) Term One Games have received a sponsorship boost of KSh30 million from Brookside Company.
The Company has doubled the sponsorship this year ahead of the National Term One Games on April 9-15, in Machakos.
This was announced by the company’s Corporate Communication Manager Wilson Okong’o, when he handed over a dummy cheque of KSh30 million to Deputy Director of Education at Jogoo house Nelson Sifuna, Nairobi on April 3.
Brookside has sponsored the games for 15 years, apart from 2020-2022 when the games were suspended due to Covid-19 pandemic.

Okong’o said KSh12.5 million will go directly towards the games preparations, designing the participant’s medals and certificates while the remaining KSh8.75 million would be used by the company for branding purposes during the event.
“Brookside is keen to support talent growth in the country and that’s why we are back with increased sponsorship. This is a commitment to corporate citizenship ideals. These games are a perfect melting point of sporting,” Okong’o said.
The communication manager added that the company is taking pride in sponsoring the games in order to help unearth sporting talents.
KSSSA Secretary General, David Ngugi, welcomed the return of Brookside sponsorship that was disrupted by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Sifuna also applauded the move terming it as a confirmation of confidence between KSSSA and the company in the development of sports.
