The school community of Obwolo Secondary School in Kisumu County has been plunged into mourning following the death of a female teacher Bridgit Amondi after an altercation with her husband.
The deceased was allegedly attacked by her husband at Oboch area in Nyakach Sub-county where she had gone to visit him. The husband reportedly attacked her using a kitchen knife.
Enraged members of the public turned against the assailant, beating him up and left him for dead.
Kisumu County KUPPET Executive Secretary Zablon Awange was among those who rushed to Nyabondo Mission Hospital morgue where the body of the deceased was taken. Her husband was also taken to the facility in critical condition.
Awange said the deceased was a Science teacher.
Kisumu County Police Commander Alphonse Kimathi said the incident is being investigated.
