A rogue chaplain based at Moi Nyatike Secondary School in Migori has been arraigned before the area Magistrate’s Court for having a sexual relationship with a Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) candidate.
It was alleged that the suspect Joash Ouma Randa repeatedly slept with the 17 year-old-girl who was studying at St. Gabriel Primary School, in Nyatike Sub County for three days and made her pregnant.
He was released on a Sh200,000 bond after he denied the charges when he appeared before magistrate Moses Obiero who scheduled the case for hearing on 25th and 27th of this month.
A report from the County Children Officer John Odinya said he was arrested in Nyatike for allegedly co-habiting with the candidate for three days.
The girl who returned home on 21st October 2019 after disappearing on 19th October 2019 at 5am was subjected to medical examination and found to be pregnant.
