“After acquiring a diploma, I will now go for a degree.” Those were the words of Edna Sekunae, a diploma graduate at the Catholic University of Eastern Africa (CUEA) on Friday, October 24, 2025.
Edna Sekunae Leaduma is a Diploma graduate in Information Technology. She said that the course gave her a perfect opportunity to serve her village in the remotest part of Samburu County.
The student graduated with a Diploma in Information Technology, and she said that it is her journey to start the degree Programme.
Edna started her early education at St. Mary’s Primary School, then she proceeded to Fr. Anthony Pagani High School before joining the Catholic University for Eastern Africa.

“To all the lady students, I urge you to pursue your dreams to the highest level possible. That is the only way one can uplift the standard of their people in the village and the nation at large,” Edna said.
The graduation at CUEA saw more than 3000 students graduating at different levels.
The colourful event was attended by a large number of parents, guardians and the CUEA teaching and non-teaching staff.
