Kenya National Parents Association Chairman Mr. Nicholas Maiyo has urged President Elect William Ruto to retain Prof George Magoha as education CS.

Speaking to the press in Eldoret town, Maiyo argued that Prof Magoha has done a lot of work in the education sector.

“The CS should be left to deal with the transition of learners to Junior Secondary Schools,” he added.

Citing agreement from many other parents, the chair said retaining Prof Magoha is necessary for the steps already taken in implementing the new curriculum and continuity of the program.

“Six years since the launch of CBC, a lot of progress has been made and any change will affect the investments parents have made towards their children’s education,” he said.

Prof Magoha has been moving across the country, inspecting CBC classrooms.  So far, 90 percent of the required 10,000 classrooms have been completed.
