Provide basic needs for your children, legislator tells parents

Nyaribari Chache MP Zaheer Jhanda has urged parents to provide basic necessities to their children to enable them perform well in school.

Represented by Nyaribari Chache Constituency Manager Evans Makori at a function in Ebiosi Primary School, the MP said parental upbringing is very important to children because it helps them in character building that contributes to their welfare at adulthood.

He warned parents against delegating their parental roles to nannies since some of them end up defiling the children.

The MP asked parents and teachers to educate children the physical changes they’ll experience during adolescence.

He expressed concern that many girls skip classes during their menstrual cycle and promised that his office will continue providing sanitary towels to the girls who come from poor homes to enable them stay in school.

The MP donated sanitary towels worth Ksh350, 000 to the girls at the institution.

He added that his office is trying to improve the road network system in the area to enable easy mobility of pupils to and from school.
