The police in Kenyenya Sub-County, Kisii County have started investigations on the cause the sudden fire that burnt down Riokindo National schools’ dormitory.
According to the deputy Principal of the school in charge of academics David Makori, the fire caused fear and panic among teachers and students.
“I know what you are going to ask me it is true there was fire accident in our school and one dormitory including students’ property were reduced into ashes.” He said.

He added that no student was hut although property their belongings went into flame.

Sources from one of the school watchmen who did not want his name to be mentioned, assured parents of their children’s security in the school saying they should not panic as the situation was calm.
