Police find crucial leads in murder of a Kiambu female teacher

Irene Ng'endo, a teacher at Thigio Ndeiya Primary in Kiambu, was murdered on Sunday.

The police have intensified investigations into the death of a teacher in Kamaririthu, Kiambu County after finding phones that are highly connected to the murder.

The investigating officers now have crucial evidence, with Limuru Sub-county Police Commander Philip Mwania saying the two recovered phones will lead them to the suspects.

Irene Ng’endo, 51, of Thigio Ndeiya Primary School, was stabbed in the chest to death in her house on Sunday, February 11 at around 9 p.m. by unknown people.

She was alone when the attackers invaded. When she screamed, neighbours came to her rescue, rushed her to hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.

The deceased’s family has demanded that the police should bring to book the assailants before her burial.

There have been increased cases of robberies and murders around the county in recent times and residents now demand that police must address insecurity.
