Leading flower grower and exporter Oserian Development Company has introduced a music school to offer lessons across a range of musical genres.
Speaking during the unveiling of the music instruments, Kirimi Mpungu, head of administration at the company said it is important to develop talents alongside academic grades to realise a well-rounded individual as well as creating extracurricular activities that are helpful in living a healthy life as per the farm’s Flori4Life slogan.
The Flori4Life tagline captures Oserian’s four main areas namely Flori4Water, Flori4Food, Flori4Schools and Flori4Nature.
Four areas are geared towards supporting community in access to education, water availability, food security and environment for sustainability. Each is aligned to the world’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Number four agenda of SDGs is achieving inclusive and equitable quality education for all thus the company is committed in provision of affordable vocational training and eliminating gender and wealth disparities so as to universal access to a quality higher education.
