Olima Kelvin has officially taken over as the new Teachers Service Commission (TSC) Sub-County Director for Baringo North, succeeding Robert Rutto in the commission’s latest administrative changes.
Olima’s deployment places him in charge of teacher management and administrative functions in the sub county, marking another milestone in his career in education leadership. He began his education at Kolanya Boys High School before proceeding to Maseno University, later serving as Director of Studies at St Augustine Kamolo Secondary School in Teso North.
At Kamolo, he was actively involved in academic administration, planning and coordination of teaching and learning programmes. His move into the TSC administrative structure now positions him to oversee operations in Baringo North, working closely with teachers, school administrators and education stakeholders.

Rutto, who previously held the position, has handed over responsibilities to Olima as part of the commission’s restructuring. The new director has been welcomed by colleagues and stakeholders, who have expressed confidence in his ability to deliver on his mandate.
Olima’s deployment adds to a career progression that has seen him transition from school-based leadership to broader administrative responsibilities within the education sector.
