Nyeri High School has welcomed Mr Stephen Wachira as its new principal following a leadership transition at the institution.
Mr Wachira joins Nyeri High School from Endarasha High School, where he served as principal. He takes over the leadership of the institution with a wealth of experience in school administration, academic management and student mentorship. Recent reports from several Nyeri-based education and community platforms confirm that Wachira has reported to Nyeri High from Endarasha High School.
The school fraternity expressed confidence in Wachira’s leadership, saying his experience and commitment to education will help the institution strengthen its performance in academics, discipline and co-curricular activities.
His appointment comes as part of the ongoing movement of school heads as the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) continues to deploy and redeploy principals to different institutions across the country.
Kahura moves to Nanyuki High
The Nyeri High School community also paid tribute to outgoing Chief Principal Samuel Kahura for his service and contribution to the development of the school during his tenure.
Kahura has been appointed to lead Nanyuki High School, where he is expected to bring his leadership experience to the institution. An earlier report on the TSC changes had confirmed Kahura’s transfer from Nyeri High to Nanyuki High.
The school fraternity wished him well in his new assignment while welcoming Mr Wachira and expressing optimism that the new administration will build on the achievements made by previous school leaders.

The transition marks a new chapter for both institutions as the principals assume their respective responsibilities and begin working with teachers, students, parents and other stakeholders towards achieving their educational goals.
