Nyambaria National School in Nyamira County had a nasty fire incident on Tuesday May 27, at dawn that gutted down one dormitory.
According to inside information, none of the students was injured as they were in class for morning studies.
In a notification message to parents, the school said the cause of the mysterious fire outbreak was unknown but the situation has been contained.
“Esteemed members, please be informed that we have had an unfortunate incident in our school, Wangari Mathai dormitory caught fire this morning but as it is now, the fire has been contained. The students were already in class and cause is yet to be established, we will give comprehensive information once compiled,” Stated part of the notice.

When Education News reported at the school they could not be allowed to access the school for unknown reasons.
Deliberate effort by our reporter noted smoke emissions from the compound.
This comes a day after Friends School Mbale boys student went on rampage, setting the school dormitory on fire before destroying school properties.
