The National Social Security Fund (NSSF) has invited applications from eligible Kenyan graduates for internship opportunities under its 2026/2027 programme, with a deadline set for May 22, 2026.
The fund, which operates as a leading social security provider in the retirement benefits sector with a branch network across the country, said the programme is aimed at giving young Kenyans practical, on-the-job experience for a period of one year. NSSF said the initiative is aligned with the Government Youth Initiative to develop a pool of young talent for the Kenyan labour market.
Positions are available at the fund’s head office and branches countrywide
To qualify, applicants must hold a first degree or diploma from an accredited institution and must have graduated within the last five years from the closing date of the advertisement. Candidates must be unemployed Kenyan youths aged between 20 and 34 years, must not have undertaken any other internship programme or been exposed to work experience since graduation, and must be available for the full one-year duration.
NSSF is also looking for candidates who demonstrate integrity, are goal-oriented, self-driven and possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, alongside proficiency in ICT.
Duties and responsibilities will be assigned by the respective heads of department and supervisors upon appointment.

Interested candidates are required to apply online by submitting a copy of their degree or diploma certificate, an application letter, a curriculum vitae, a national identification copy and a recommendation letter from their institution.
NSSF warned that incomplete or hard copy applications will not be considered. The fund also noted that completion of the internship does not guarantee employment.
Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
