KINAP officials with Go-Xel Global Ltd displays partnership documents which aims to connect Kenyan technical workers with employment opportunities abroad
The Kiambu National Polytechnic (KINAP) has partnered with international recruitment firm Go-Xel Global Ltd and Right Resource Kenya Ltd to expand job opportunities for its trainees and graduates in overseas labour markets.
The partnership seeks to connect qualified Kenyan artisans, technicians and construction workers with potential employers abroad, particularly in Germany, Austria and countries in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).Isaac Mokaya, Deputy Principal, KINAP, signing a pact with Go-Xel Global Ltd

Under the arrangement, the institutions will work to identify suitable jobs for qualified trainees and graduates and match their technical skills with the requirements of overseas employers.
The partnership will also support candidates with skills enhancement, recruitment procedures and the documentation needed for international employment. It aims to improve graduates' competitiveness and increase their chances of securing jobs beyond Kenya.
The partners have also said they will emphasise safe, ethical and responsible recruitment. Proper procedures, verification of job offers and compliance with destination countries' employment requirements are essential to protect prospective migrant workers from exploitation and fraudulent recruitment.
Access to overseas employment will depend on individual qualifications, employers' requirements, immigration and work permit regulations, and the availability of verified vacancies.
For trainees nearing graduation and alumni with technical skills, the partnership could offer an additional incentive to pursue vocational education. It comes as technical and vocational education and training (TVET) receives growing emphasis as a pathway to employment and skills development for young people.
