Lang’ata Technical and Vocational College has ushered in a new chapter of leadership following the appointment of Madam Christine Wanja Bundi as Principal, taking over from Mr Simon Kagia Nyaga.
The leadership transition took place on Monday, October 19, 2026, with Nyaga formally handing over the institution’s leadership to Bundi, who previously served as Deputy Principal in charge of Administration.
Bundi’s elevation to the top office places an experienced insider at the helm of the college, having served in an administrative role that exposed her to its day-to-day operations, institutional priorities and challenges.
Her appointment presents an opportunity to build on the college’s existing progress while strengthening teamwork, improving service delivery and advancing its mandate of providing quality technical and vocational education and training (TVET).(Education News Kenya — https://educationnews.co.ke/news/christine-bundi-takes-over-as-langata-tvc-principal-replacing-simon-nyaga)
The college expressed appreciation to Nyaga for his service, dedication and contribution to its growth, noting that his tenure forms part of the institution’s development journey.
As she takes over, Bundi is expected to steer the college towards greater institutional excellence, with emphasis on innovation, stronger industry partnerships and the development of skilled, competent and entrepreneurial graduates.
The institution also reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining continuity in service to trainees, stakeholders and the wider community despite the change in leadership.
The transition comes at a time when technical and vocational institutions play a critical role in equipping young people with practical skills to meet labour-market demands and support national development.
Lang’ata TVC has positioned technological advancement and entrepreneurship as key pillars of its mission, with its new leadership expected to sustain that focus.
The college welcomed Bundi to her new role and wished Nyaga success in his future endeavours, expressing optimism that the change would strengthen its pursuit of quality training and institutional growth.
