- KNDFF has announced its 2026 national trainers’ workshop, scheduled for November 21 to 25 at Kisumu Girls High School.
- The festival secretariat has set a participation fee of Sh6,000 covering meals, badges and facilitation costs, excluding accommodation.
- Regional and County Coordinators have been directed to collect fees and submit participant lists to the KNDFF Secretariat by October 30, 2026.
The Kenya National Drama and Film Festival (KNDFF) will hold its 2026 national trainers’ workshop at Kisumu Girls High School in Kisumu County from November 21 to 25.
The workshop will bring together trainers drawn from various levels of education, including pre-primary, primary, junior school, secondary and senior school, teacher training colleges, technical and vocational education and training institutions, and universities.
According to a notice issued by KNDFF Executive Secretary Janeth Langat on September 21, participants will be required to report on November 20 and depart on November 26, 2026.
Each participant will pay a participation fee of Sh6,000, which will cover tea and snacks, lunch, workshop badges and certificates, as well as facilitation expenses for workshop facilitators. However, participants will be required to make their own accommodation arrangements and meet the associated costs.
The KNDFF Technical Committee has directed Regional and County Coordinators to collect the participation fees from participants in their respective areas and deposit the funds as guided by the festival secretariat. The coordinators are also required to submit lists of registered and fully paid-up participants to the KNDFF Secretariat by October 30, 2026.

The workshop is expected to prepare and strengthen trainers ahead of the 2026 Kenya National Drama and Film Festival activities, while enhancing capacity among those involved in drama and film training across different levels of education.
