Narok Governor Patrick Ole Ntutu will today hand over a newly acquired 51-seater school bus to Rongena Senior School in Mara Ward, Narok West Sub-County.

The bus, fully funded by the Narok County Government, is expected to further strengthen the institution’s status as a growing centre of excellence in the region.

Rongena Senior School, which was established in 2013 by governor Ntutu when he was Narok West MP, has built a strong reputation for academic performance, discipline and holistic student development.

The handover ceremony will bring together education stakeholders, local leaders, parents and members of the community to witness what many have described as a major milestone for the school.

Once commissioned, the bus will ease transport challenges for learners, enabling them to participate in academic trips, sports competitions and co-curricular activities without logistical strain.

School management has welcomed the development, noting that it will expand exposure for students and enhance their competitiveness at county and national levels.

Governor Ntutu’s administration has continued to prioritize investment in education infrastructure, aiming to uplift standards and support institutions that demonstrate excellence.

Today’s event underscores the county government’s commitment to empowering learners and strengthening public schools across Narok.
