Narok Deputy Governor Tamalinye Koech has called on residents of Ololmasani Kapkoros to actively participate in the feasibility study aimed at establishing a Maasai Mara University campus in the area.

Speaking ahead of today’s exercise, Deputy Governor Koech emphasized the importance of community involvement, noting that the success of the initiative depends on residents turning out in large numbers to engage with representatives from Maasai Mara University, the County Government and the National Government.

He urged the community to ignore misinformation and propaganda surrounding the project, describing them as baseless and counterproductive.

Koech highlighted that certain aspects of the project will be supported through the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) while others will be handled by the county government to fast-track progress.

The Maasai Mara University team, led by Deputy Vice-Chancellor Prof. Gofrick Butita, will provide details on the benefits and opportunities that a university branch would bring to Ololmasani Kapkoros, emphasizing that a comprehensive feasibility study is crucial to ensure all requirements are met by both the County and National Governments.

Deputy Governor called on residents to cooperate fully, saying that the initiative represents a significant step toward educational development and long-term growth for the community.
