Murang’a Technical Training Institute were semi-finalists in the men’s soccer in the Mount Kenya West KATTI Sports competitions, the highest achievement ever in the annual event that saw them enter the play-offs and took position three.
Their hopes for a brighter future growing with every genre that they presented, the hard work and resolution paid off as also the ladies football took third place in an event that brought head-on 17 TVET institutions.
Held at Nyandarua National Polytechnic, the competitions were a preparation for the nationals to take place later in the year. The college is working its way up to have more activities that they can compete in come the next round of contests.

The contestants praised their college for affording them the chance to experience the level of competitions first hand, vowing to achieve more next year.
“We appreciate our administration for giving us the opportunity to train in various sporting activities which has enabled us to compete with other TVET institutions in this region. We promise to achieve more in future,” one of the students said.
On his part, Murang’a TTI Principal Robin Wachira thanked his team for participating, urging them put more effort to achieve more next season.
