Kitutu Chache North MP Japheth Nyakundi has fully sponsored a 2022 KCPE candidate who had lost hope of joining Form 1 due to financial constraints.
The girl, Hellen Nyakundi who scored 388 marks in the national examinations, only has her ailing grandmother to depend on and her primary school education was sponsored by the Principal of Rangenyo Girls before she was murdered in cold blood last year.
Nyakundi can however afford a smile now courtesy of the MP who ensured she enrolled to her dream school, Loreto Girls.
The MP appreciated the girl for passing her KCPE exams considering the harsh conditions she came from.
“I’m really moved by this young girl’s efforts and sacrifice to learn and as a leader I can’t sit down and watch her suffer,” said Japheth.
