Suna West constituency Member of Parliament (MP) has disbursed bursaries worth Ksh 25 million for 250 students from the area and an additional Ksh 2 million for full scholarships of select beneficiaries.
Speaking during the event at Nyaera Primary school, Hon. Peter Masara called for support from residents as he readies to further develop education through infrastructure development in schools and disbursement of bursaries and scholarships.
The MP also pledged to support more students through the National Government Constituency Development Fund (NG-CDF) as they continue pursuing their studies.

Masara challenged parents to enroll their children in secondary schools within the constituency as he will prioritize supporting learners in schools within his jurisdiction in a bid to develop the education sector in the region.
Meanwhile, the school deputy head teacher called on the region’s elected leaders to intervene on the matter of insufficient teachers, noting that most school in the area were lagging behind because of low teacher to students ratio.
