Moi Boys Senior School Kabartonjo in Baringo North Sub-County held a thanksgiving and prayer ceremony to celebrate the achievements of its 2025 KCSE candidates, a feat that could see the institution elevated to national school status (C1 institution).
Speaking during the event, the Chief Principal, Samuel Akufa, attributed the institution’s outstanding performance to hard work by students, a committed teaching staff, and strong support from support staff and the Board of Management, noting that teamwork continues to drive the school’s success.
The school, in the recently released 2025 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) results, achieved 100% university transition after all the 287 candidates scored C+ and above, emerging as one of the top-performing schools in the region.
The school head noted that increased emphasis on Mathematics and Sciences has significantly contributed to the school’s improved performance over time as the school aims of a KCSE target of 9.7 in this year’s exams.
Why campaign to scrap boarding schools misses the bigger picture in our communities
“I challenge you students to burn the midnight oil and ensure you achieve your targets in this year’s examination. This is the only opportunity you have in this school to change your families and society,” Akufa urged learners.
The area Member of Parliament, Joseph Makilap, pledged continued support for the institution and other schools in the region through construction of infrastructure to support the increasing student population. He urged learners to remain focused and ensure the school continues as a centre of excellence.
