The Ministry of Education (MoE), through the Department of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), has announced a reshuffle of principals in institutions across the Nyanza region following the retirement of Siaya National Polytechnic Principal Daniel Randa.
According to information obtained by Education News, Felix Odhiambo, who has been serving as Principal of Kakrao Technical and Vocational College (TVC), has been appointed to succeed Randa at Siaya National Polytechnic.
In the latest changes, Jared Hasea, formerly Deputy Principal at Kisumu National Polytechnic, has been promoted to Principal and deployed to Kakrao TVC in Migori County to replace Odhiambo.
Randa exits after years of distinguished service in the TVET sector, where he earned recognition for spearheading major institutional growth and transformation.

During his tenure at Siaya National Polytechnic, the institution was elevated from a technical institute to a fully-fledged national polytechnic.
He also oversaw significant infrastructural and academic expansion at the institution, strengthening its status as a leading TVET centre in the region.
Before his transfer to Siaya National Polytechnic, Randa served as Principal of Sikri Technical Training Institute for the Deaf and Blind, where he was credited with advancing inclusive technical education.
The latest appointments are part of ongoing efforts by the Ministry of Education to strengthen leadership and management in TVET institutions across the country.
