Our Lady of Mercy Chebukaka Girls’ High School in Bungoma Central Sub-county has once again demonstrated its academic excellence, achieving a stellar performance in the 2024 KCSE.
The school posted a commendable mean score of 7.968 B- with an impressive university direct entry rate of 87.44 per cent.
Out of the 438 candidates who sat for the national examinations, 383 attained the minimum university entry grade of C+ and above, a clear reflection of the school’s unwavering commitment to academic excellence.
The school registered A-7, B+ 51, B 93, B 118, C+ 114, C 49 and C-6.

On a phone interview with Education News, the school’s Principal, Joyce Namasaka, attributed the outstanding results to hard work, teamwork, and sacrifice from all stakeholders, including students, teachers, and parents.
“These results are a product of relentless dedication, strategic planning, and collaboration. Our students remained focused, our teachers went the extra mile to ensure thorough preparation, and parents provided unwavering support,” she stated.
