Maseno School has unveiled official anniversary merchandise as part of preparations for its 120th anniversary celebrations scheduled for April 10, marking a major milestone in the institution’s long-standing history.
The launch of the Maseno@120 branded apparel signals the start of a series of activities lined up to celebrate 120 years of academic excellence, leadership, and heritage. The merchandise, which includes hoodies and T-shirts, is expected to offer students, alumni, and supporters a visible way to connect with the school’s legacy during the commemorative event.
The anniversary initiative has been widely attributed to the leadership of the school principal, Peter Owino, working in close collaboration with the Board of Management. Stakeholders have praised the duo for conceptualising and driving the celebrations, terming the initiative as timely and visionary in honouring the institution’s rich past while positioning it for the future.
Education observers note that the leadership’s commitment has played a key role in mobilising the Maseno community, with the anniversary activities already generating excitement among alumni and current students alike. The celebrations are expected to highlight the school’s achievements while strengthening its identity as one of Kenya’s leading academic institutions.

Fronting the merchandise campaign is Felix Brian Onyango, a communications specialist in the development sector and a member of the Class of 2007. Onyango has taken a prominent role in promoting the Maseno@120 collection, showcasing the apparel and reinforcing the enduring bond shared among alumni.
He noted that the initiative reflects the pride associated with the institution, emphasizing that former students continue to carry the values and identity of Maseno long after completing their studies.
The merchandise is retailing at Ksh3,000 for hoodies and Ksh 1,500 for T-shirts. Collection has been scheduled at the United Kenya Club in Nairobi on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, with payments facilitated through a designated paybill number.
The Maseno@120 celebrations are expected to bring together a wide range of stakeholders, including alumni, students, and education leaders from across the country. The event will not only commemorate the school’s past achievements but also provide an opportunity to reflect on its future direction.
Organisers have urged members of the Maseno fraternity to turn up in large numbers and actively participate in the celebrations by “wearing the legacy,” as the institution marks 120 years of impact and excellence.
