Kenya Premier League outfit Mara Sugar FC have bolstered their midfield ranks with the signing of Instin Simiyu, a product of St Joseph’s Boys Kitale, as the Millers continue preparations for the upcoming season.
The midfielder arrives at Mara Sugar looking to reset his senior career after a disappointing stint at Shabana FC, where he joined last year but failed to make a single competitive appearance for the top-flight side.
At Mara Sugar, Simiyu will link up with head coach Mike Mururi, whose experience in the local game is expected to play a key role in helping the youngster convert his schoolboy promise into senior-level consistency.

Having built his reputation through St Joseph’s Boys Kitale, a school long recognised as a nursery for footballing talent, Simiyu now faces the task of proving that pedigree at the highest domestic level.
The switch to Mara Sugar is being viewed as a timely opportunity for the youngster to rebuild momentum, break into a competitive first team, and finally translate his potential into regular top-flight football.
