Machakos University mourns sudden loss of senior lecturer

Machakos University fraternity has been thrown into mourning after a sudden death of a senior lecturer.

The death of the lecturer, Prof Ezra Maobe Ondari Okemwa which happened yesterday, June 6, 2024 was announced by the institution Vice Chancellor Prof Joyce Agalo.

The VC mourned the departed lecturer as committed worker who was unselfish.

“It is with profound sorrow that we are announcing the untimely death of Prof Ezra Maobe Ondari Okemwa. Until his demise, he was the Registrar, Academic & Student Affairs (ASA) of Machakos University,” the VC wrote.

Prof Joyce urged the institution fraternity to pray and support the family during this time of grief as the family of the deceased arrange the official send-off of the lecturer.

He studied at Cardinal Otunga High School in 1980 where he passed exemplary which saw him to pursue Bachelor of Arts, (International Relations), at the University of Nairobi.

He did Master of Science, (Information Resources Management), University of North Texas graduating in 1990 and finally PhD (Knowledge Management), University of Cape Town, South Africa graduating in 2007.
