The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has opened applications for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) courses for the May 2026 intake, targeting KCSE candidates from the years 2000 to 2025.
In a notice to prospective applicants, KUCCPS said students can apply for courses offered in national polytechnics, technical training institutes, institutes of science and technology and other accredited technical colleges across the country.
The placement service said the opportunity is open to all KCSE holders regardless of their mean grade, with different qualification levels depending on the results attained.
Candidates who scored a mean grade of C minus and above qualify for Level 6 diploma programmes. Those with a D plain and above are eligible for Level 5 craft certificate courses, while students who obtained an E and above can apply for Level 4 artisan certificate programmes.

KUCCPS noted that the application window is open to the 2025 KCSE class as well as form four leavers from previous years who wish to pursue technical training.
Applicants are required to submit their choices through the KUCCPS student portal at students.kuccps.ac.ke, where they can browse available programmes and select institutions of their preference.
The placement body encouraged interested candidates to apply early before the deadline to avoid last-minute challenges with the online system.
The application period will close on March 18, 2026, after which KUCCPS will process placements for the May 2026 intake.
