He said all needy cases, including those in extra-county day schools, have not been left out.

Dr Oron said cheques for students in boarding schools are currently being processed and will be released soon.

“For any inquiries, please visit the constituency office,” he said.

Dr Oron and the NG-CDF Board Chairman, Olago Aluoch, said they will ensure the funds continue benefiting needy students.

He said they will move to the ground to sensitise the public.

Dr Oron said members of parliament and the council of governors will ensure the NG-CDF Board Chairman is enshrined in the constitution.

He said the program has helped millions of needy students pursue their education.

Dr Oron said doing away with the scheme is ill-timed and should be discarded altogether.

Aluoch said the scheme should be fully backed by all good and sundry.
