Minet has for years provided medical cover in a panel of private and faith based medical facilities and has lately expanded base to public hospitals managed by county governments.

“There is need for AON to improve its service delivery as demanded by members,” he added.

Oyuu promised teachers that the issue of pre-authorization for slow treatment and difficulties in accessing services will be handled.

“We’re urging members to utilize the desk we have a at KNUT headquarters exclusively dedicated to dealing with Minet issues,” he added.

Minet Kenya Chief Executive Officer Sammy Muthui said the insurer is keen on increasing teachers’ access to medical services by increasing the number of hospitals.
