ECDE teachers in Bomet County have been urged to use formal county structures to present their grievances to the Bomet County Public Service Board.
The call was made by KNUT Branch Executive Secretary Desmond Langat, who asked all affected teachers to lodge their complaints accompanied by their respective Heads of Institution and chairpersons.
Speaking at the offices of the Public Service Board, Langat said proper procedures must be followed if the teachers’ concerns are to be effectively considered by the relevant authorities.
He said the documentation of complaints was an important step in ensuring that grievances are formally recorded and subjected to the appropriate processes.
Teachers asked to document complaints
“Let every affected ECDE teacher lodge their complaint, accompanied by their HOI and chairperson, on or before Friday, August 14, 2026,” Langat said.
He urged the affected teachers to act within the stipulated period instead of allowing their complaints to remain unresolved.
According to Langat, the participation of HOIs and chairpersons would help ensure that the grievances are presented through the correct channels.
“We are urging all affected teachers to take advantage of this opportunity and present their concerns within the deadline,” he said.
Langat said adherence to the established procedures would enable the Public Service Board to receive and consider the complaints in an orderly manner.

The move comes as affected ECDE teachers seek formal consideration of their grievances by the county government.
