The Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) has kicked off the recruitment of KCSE oral and practical papers assessors.
In a notice, KNEC said interested teachers will be hired between May 1 and July 30, 2024.
The successful individuals will be trained on the job during an assessment of the 2024 KCSE papers.
However, teachers who are already in the KNEC assessors’ database don’t have to apply.
“Secondary school teachers to be recruited for the following papers: power mechanics, electricity, aviation technology, French oral, German oral, Arabic oral, Kenya sign language signing practical and music practical,” KNEC stated.
The applicants must practising teacher /tutor in the relevant subjects and be registered and /or employed by the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) or a recognized professional body.

He or she should have a diploma, or above, in education or in the relevant area of specialization. For aviation technology, the applicants must also have a diploma in aeronautical engineering.
Applicants should have a minimum of three years of teaching experience and must be endorsed by the head of the institution or employer. They should be 50 years and below.
Candidates who are not on interdiction or any other form of disciplinary action will not be considered.
The age bracket is capped at 50 years and below.
Application procedure
Interested teachers have been requested to apply on the examiners portal using the link https://examinersapp.knec.ac.ke.
“Those with CP2 accounts should log into the portal using their usernames and passwords, while those who would have forgotten their CP2 passwords should click on the “reset password” button and enter their mobile number in the format 254 and submit to get new passwords for logging into the system,” KNEC stated.
The Contracted Professionals System, or KNEC CP2 portal, is an integrated online platform where the KNEC manages all national examination officers. It captures accurate details of all people contracted to supervise, invigilate, and manage exams.
