KNEC announces recruitment of assessors for KCSE oral and practical papers

The Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) has announced the recruitment of secondary school teachers and college tutors as assessors of Kenya Certificate of Secondary School (KCSE) oral and practical papers.

The papers will be taken between 10th June 2025 and 30th July 2025 and the selected professionals will be trained during that period.

The application is only for those who are not in the KNEC database.

According to the advertisement seen by the Education News, qualified teachers or tutors will assess papers that include Power Mechanics (447/2), Electricity (448/2), Aviation Technology (450/02), French Oral (501/3), German Oral(502/3), Arabic Oral(503/3), Kenya Sign Language Signing Practical(504/3) and Music Practical(511/1)

An applicant must be a teacher or tutor practicing the relevant subjects listed above, a registered and/or employed by Teachers Service Commission (TSC). The applicant must also have a minimum education level in Diploma in Education and relevant areas of specialization, and at least three (3) years teaching experience.

Additionally, the applicant must not be on interdiction or any disciplinary action from their employer and must be recommended by their employer. Finally, all applicants MUST be 50 years of age and below to be considered.

Applicants are advised to submit their applications by accessing the KNEC examiners’ portal, by using their username and password if have a CP2 account.

In case of a forgotten CP2 account password, applicants are advised to click the reset password button and enter their mobile number in the format (2547*****) and submit to get a new password.

Qualified persons without CP2 accounts should click Create account button and follow the instructions. Upon successful log in, applicants should complete their personal profile and save. You can then proceed to apply for assessors’ vacancies and choose from the declared vacancies.

The slots are limited and only qualified applicants who have presented the required documents will be shortlisted.
