Kiteta Girls of Makueni were crowned as the Eastern Region’s 3 by 3 Basketball champions after beating their Machakos neighbors Misyani Girls 5:1 to qualify for the national showpiece later this month.
The well composed girls put up a spirited fight against their competitors until the last minutes braving the change of weather to secure the trophy.
In boys’ football, Mbooni Boys of Makueni emerged the region’s champions after thrashing rival Machakos Boys 2-1 in the final thus securing a national ticket to represent the region in Nakuru.
In girls’ Netball, former champions Katwala of Kitui beat Kwa Nthanze of Machakos 42-32 to reclaim the top title in the highly contested match.
