Mbooni Boys, a powerhouse of sports especially in football and handball has won two trophies in handball and basketball.
Last year, the handball team played upto East Africa semis then play-offs in Rwanda.
A month ago, in his office, school Chief Principal Dominic Maingi said that schools must implement holistic activities so that students who are not good in class can excel in co-curricular activities.

He encouraged schools not to limit learners in the realm of academics only, but also let them explore their talents.
“Talent pays, not everyone is blessed in class, as they enrich their minds academically, let’s give the students a chance to explore their talents and support them fully,” Maingi said.

The games were held at St Martin Kathonzweni Boys with Kitondo School winning rugby and hockey trophies. Clay International Secondary was best in girls’ basketball while St Joseph’s Kibwezi won hockey and Munyuni Secondary took home girls’ handball trophy.
