Kipsigis Girls, Kabianga Boys top in 2025 KCSE exams in Kericho

Kipsigis Girls and Kabianga Boys High school are the giant winners in the recently released the 2025 Kenya Certificates of Secondary Education results.

The Kipsigis Girls bounced back to the top with an impressive score of 9.8 points, as Kabianga Boys posts  Mean grade of 8.8402.

Kipsigis girls, the iconic school which is revered in the whole region since the Pre Colonial era attained position one in the County of Kericho with 39 candidates attaining straight As.

Margaret Kirui who is the Chief Principal was overjoyed and attributed the success to teamwork from the Board of Management, Staff, Parents, Students and a dedicated management team.

“We thank God for the good results .This achievement is as a result of teamwork and dedication from the management team, staff, parents and the BOM. I congratulate the candidates who have made us proud,” she said.

The school had an entry of 417, and attained 113 A minus, 111 B plus, 88 B-Plain,34 B-Minus, and 18 candidates attained C-Plus. It attained a transition of 96.64 per cent.

Kabianga High School attained position two, with achievements of 10 candidates with straight As, 68 with A minus,158 managed B –plus,203 got B-Plain,154 got B-Minus and 70 students attained C-Plus.

The Chief Principal Ezekiel Kurgat congratulated the candidates for making the school proud and gave credit for the success for the great sacrifice from the teaching staff, and cooperation from the candidates. He gave credit to the BOM for good leadership and the parents for helping the school through prompt payment of school fees.

Kurgat said they had an impressive entry of 707 and those with C-Plus and above totaled 663 students translating to a university translation of 93.8 per cent.

Moi Tea managed position three with 8.66 points, fourth was Tengecha Girls with 8.5.

Londiani Boys High School under the leadership of Chief Principal Dr. Daniel Chelule achieved a mean grade of 8.122 and was placed fifth in the County. Seven boys attained A –minus, 23 B-Plus,89 got B –Plain,127 had a B-Minus while a total of 68 got C-Plain. Londiani Boys had an entry of 337 candidates where those with a C-Plus and above were 314 in number translating to a 93.45 per cent transition to the public Universities.

Dr. Chelule praised God for the results and thanked all the stakeholders for their teamwork and dedication. He challenged them to put more effort saying the sky was the limit.

Other schools in that order include Tengecha Boys who achieved 8.01,cheborge Boys got 7.7,Kericho Tea Boys attained 7.671,AIC Litein Girls got 7.4,Kericho High got 7.326 while Kipkelion Girls achieved 7.2. Londiani Girls who had an entry of 338 candidates attained a mean score of 6.276.

Litein Boys High School which faced serious challenges of strikes last year managed to attain a mean score of 6.9 and were placed ninth. They got a new Chief Principal Aggrey Ochieng.
