Kericho National Polytechnic has officially been awarded the International Organization of Standardization (ISO) certification, marking a significant milestone in its journey toward academic and institutional excellence.

Speaking during the announcement, Principal Sammy Cheruiyot said the award was a testament to the institution’s dedication to delivering quality education and embracing global standards.

“This ISO certification is a clear indication of our hard work and commitment to offering quality education,” Cheruiyot said. “It’s not just a certificate — it’s a symbol of our progress and promise to our students.”

Cheruiyot also noted that the certification would open new doors for the integration of modern learning tools and technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI).

The principal further assured that the college would maintain continuous quality assessments, and urged all stakeholders to keep working together.

“We must all stay committed — staff, students, and partners alike. It is only through cooperation that we can move this institution to even greater heights,” he emphasized.

Joel Awita, the institution’s Quality Assurance Officer, echoed Cheruiyot’s remarks and reaffirmed the school’s pledge to maintain the high standards now expected under the ISO framework.

“We are proud to be associated with a school that is moving forward. This motivates us even more to work hard and support its vision,” said one parent.

ISO certification is a globally recognized credential demonstrating a company’s adherence to international standards for quality management, environmental sustainability, information security, and more, as established by the International Organization of Standardization (ISO). It signifies that a company’s systems, processes, or products meet specific, internationally agreed-upon criteria.
