Kemeloi Boys High School students and teachers yesterday brought businesses and transport to a standstill in Nandi as they filled the streets to welcome and celebrate two students who emerged champions at the World Robotic Competitions in South Africa.
The duo, returned home to a heroic reception with cheering crowds lining up the streets on their way back to school. Their victory has placed Kemeloi Boys and Nandi County at large on the global map, earning admiration across Kenya.
Kemeloi Boys has not only shined in robotics but also in academics. In the 2024 KCSE results, the school led in the region and was ranked position 2 in Nandi County and 56 nationally.

To celebrate the feat, Principal Rotich and top student Malon Kibet, who scored an A plain of 82 points, were rewarded with a four-day all-inclusive vacation in Zanzibar, courtesy of the area MP.
The two Robotics winners are expected to fly out soon to Singapore where they will represent the country in the World Robotic Competition.
