Jubilation as school in Kakamega celebrates its first A- in KCSE

There was jubilation at St Francis Xavier Shikoti Mixed Secondary School in Lurambi Constituency for the first time in history as the best candidate scored a mean grade of A- in 2024 KCSE results.

Some 20 candidates scored a mean grade of C+ and above.

During the celebrations, the school Principal Godfrey Nangabo expressed his gratitude following the exemplary performance and breaking the school record in the KCSE examinations which were announced by the Cabinet Secretary for Education Julius Ogamba.

He congratulated the candidates, parents, teaching and non-teaching staff who worked tirelessly.

Zabacosta Brian was the best candidate who scored A- with 80 points who said the outcome of his results started from early preparations in Form One encouraging other students to work hard in academics.

Parents led by Edward Oponyo also said the school has done them proud.
