Cabinet Secretary for Education Julius Ogamba has urged parents and teachers to encourage their children to take care of the environment by planting more trees on their school compounds because they have enough space.

Ogamba also told Chiefs and their Assistants to mobilize communities to plant trees at all times

Speaking at Nyasumi Primary School in Nyamira County on Friday during the celebration of Mazingira Day, CS Ogamba said that tree planting is a continuous exercise that should be embraced by all for the welfare of human beings and other animals.

The CS was accompanied by Kisii University VC Prof. Nathan Ogechi, Solicitor General Shadrack Mose among other leaders.
