Teacher Abraham Kibet, popularly known as Abuu, has died following a road accident along the Himaki–Olessos road in Nandi County.
Kibet was a teacher at Kaputi Primary and Junior Secondary School in Chepkunyuk Ward, Nandi East Sub-County, where he was serving in the Junior Secondary School section.
His death has left his family, colleagues, learners and the wider school community mourning the loss of a teacher remembered for his dedication to education.

Details surrounding the accident were not immediately available, but the incident has renewed concerns over road safety along the Himaki–Olessos route.
Messages of condolence have continued to reach the bereaved family and the school community as they come to terms with the sudden loss. Kibet’s colleagues and members of the community have mourned him as a dedicated educator whose contribution to the learning and development of learners at Kaputi Primary and JSS will be remembered.
