Kakamega Woman Rep distributes free sanitary pads to all girls in primary and Junior Secondary Schools to curb teen pregnancies.
The Kakamega County Woman Representative, Elsie Muhanda, has unveiled a mega sanitary pads distribution to all girls in primary and Junior secondary schools across the county.

Speaking at the Approved School grounds in Lurambi Constituency, the Woman Rep said the distribution of sanitary towels to schoolgirls is aimed at ensuring students attend school regularly and to curb teen pregnancies
He commended President William Samoei Ruto for prioritising girls’ education and ensuring that they have access to sanitary pads at all times
She also expressed gratitude to the President for giving Grade 10 students from needy backgrounds an opportunity for free education.
Additionally, she urged principals of senior secondary schools to give students from needy families more time to purchase the required school uniforms.
