The Information Communication and Technology (ICT) Authority has announced 400 internship opportunities for the Presidential Digital Talent Programme (Digitalent) Cohort X intake.
The one-year initiative targets recent university graduates and is designed to prepare young ICT professionals for employment in both the public and private sectors. According to the authority, the programme provides participants with practical workplace experience, mentorship, networking opportunities and a platform to refine career goals.
The available positions are distributed across several departments. Network and Digital Infrastructure has the highest allocation with 150 slots, followed by Software Development and Artificial Intelligence with 100. Information Security, Multimedia and Digital Marketing, and Data Analytics each have 50 vacancies.

Eligibility criteria require applicants to have graduated within the last two years, from January 2023, with First or Upper Second-Class Honours or the equivalent from a recognized institution. Candidates awaiting graduation by December 2025 are also eligible, provided they submit a stamped and signed recommendation letter from their university indicating the class to be awarded.
The programme is open to recent graduates in ICT or engineering-related fields, including Electrical and Electronics, Telecommunication, Systems and Software and Computer Engineering. Applicants are expected to have solid knowledge in their core areas of specialization, and may be required to demonstrate technical competence before the interview.
Other requirements include being a Kenyan youth aged between 21 and 29, currently unemployed and not having previously participated in any government internship programme. Successful candidates should also be prepared for full time deployment in government organisations across all 47 counties, working from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
The authority has set Monday, September 15, 2025, as the deadline for submission of applications through its official portal.
