The government will continue to improve infrastructure in public schools across the country as one way of promoting quality education to fulfill President William Ruto’s election promises.
This was said by Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua who presided over a fundraiser at Kurgung Boys High School in Mosop, Nandi County.
Praising local leaders for giving education priority, he asked teachers to live exemplary lives that learners can copy, asking them to be careful with the consumption of alcohol.
The fundraiser realized over 3 million shillings that will be used to put an administration block.

He thanked residents for being hardworking farmers and asked them to seize the opportunity of provision of subsidized fertilizer to increase their produce and get money to educate their children.
He was accompanied by Chief of Staff and Head of Public Service Felix Kosgey, Nandi Governor Stephen Sang, and Transport CS Kipchumba Murkomen, among others.
Murkomen assured residents of his ministry’s concern to improve transport infrastructure to ease movement of teachers and learners and transportation of farm produce to the markets.
He revealed that his ministry will tarmac a 130-kilometre road in Nandi this financial year.
