‘Finya Computer Itoe Dollar’ training programme launched for online work

Finya Computer Itoe Dollar, an online work programme for youth by the Kenyan government  under the Ajira Digital Programme, has launched a training going by the same name  to equip young people with the requisite knowledge, skills and attitude for online work.

Through the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection’s State Department for Labour and Skills Development, the government aims to enable youth access decent work and earn an income from the gig and freelance economy.

The government says the free online training programme will cover the basic modules of data entry, digital marketing and virtual assistance; while the advanced module will cover Artificial Intelligence (AI) for Graphic Design.

In a poster placed on the ministry’s official X account (formerly twitter), the training programme will be conducted between 8:00 a.m. in the morning to 5:00 p.m. in the evening from March 4, 2024 to March 8, 2024.

Those who will be eligible for the free online training programme are youth aged between 18-35 years who are required to be Kenyan citizens and also proficient in computer skills.
