The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has effected a series of principal transfers and appointments across 15 secondary schools in Kakamega County as part of its August 2025 staffing changes.
The official “Handing/Taking Over Report for Principals” was signed by Wilson K. Koros, TSC County Director, Kakamega, and outlines the changes in detail.
In Navakholo subcounty, Ramadhani Issa moves from Sidikho Secondary School to head Sivile Secondary School, replacing Wandera Isaac, who has been transferred.
At St. John Museno Secondary School in Kakamega East, Kembu Rosemary from Ndwia Girls Secondary School in Migori takes over from Mulunda Damaris.
In Likuyani, Wabwire John from Nambilima Secondary School replaces Odallon Nixon at St. Stephen Lwanda Secondary School.

In another Navakholo appointment, Sikulu David from Kakamega High School has been appointed the principal of Sidikho Secondary School, replacing Ramadhani Issa.
Mumias West sees Mbinyi Sila from Inungo Secondary School in Siaya take the reins at Musanda Secondary School, replacing Masengeli Phanice.
In Butere, Oyungu Jane from Ebuyabu Secondary School in Vihiga takes over from Opondo Walter at Manyala Secondary School.
Onyango Duncan from Kenya Teachers Training College in Kisii will now head Ergti TTC in Kakamega South, succeeding Victoria Ashion.
In Khwisero, Omutiti Peter from Mbale Secondary School in Vihiga has been appointed as the new principal of Shiongo Secondary School, replacing Fred Liyayi.
Likuyani subcounty also welcomes Omollo Julia from Kosoroi Secondary School in Trans Nzoia as principal of St. Peter’s Moi’s Bridge Girls Secondary School, replacing Kimani Francis.
In Mumias East, Kweyu Haron from Friends Kaimosi Secondary School in Vihiga replaces Omolo Peter at Lubinu Boys Secondary School.
Moyi Moses from Bungoma’s Aliva Luvaso Secondary School takes charge at Malava Boys Secondary School in Kakamega North, succeeding Aliva Luvaso.
In Matete, Wafula Sarah from Kuvasali Secondary School in Kakamega becomes the principal of Nambilima Secondary School, replacing Wabwire John.
Lugari subcounty sees Night Shikhuku from Chekalini Secondary School in Kakamega assume leadership at Lumama Secondary School, replacing Sabwa Nixon.
In Matete, Wycliffe Eshuchi Nandwa takes over at St. Mukasa Chimoio Secondary School from Kakamega High School, replacing an outgoing principal yet to be confirmed.
Lastly, Mulunda Damaris from Kakamega East’s Wabuyabo Electine Secondary School has been appointed as the principal of St. Agnes Museno Secondary School, replacing Wabuyabo Electine.
The TSC County Director noted that all handovers were scheduled between August 14 and August 22, 2025, ensuring smooth transitions in the leadership of these institutions.
