Friday KCSE exams to proceed as scheduled despite holiday

Education Cabinet Secretary, Julius Migos Ogamba

Education Cabinet Secretary (CS) Julius Migos Ogamba has announced that the declaration of Friday, November 1, 2024 as a public holiday will not interrupt the ongoing KCSE examination papers.

In a notice from the Ministry of Education (MoE) office, the CS said that national examination papers scheduled for the day will proceed uninterrupted.

The CS instructed all members of the Multi-Agency Examinations Administration Team to report to work as scheduled to ensure that all examination activities of the day are well executed in line with MoE guidelines.

The directive applies to all other basic education institutions that are in session.

On Thursday, Acting CS for Ministry of Interior and National Administration, Dr. Musalia Mudavadi declared Friday a public holiday for the swearing-in of the Deputy President-designate Prof. Prof Kithure. This is after the lengthy impeachment of Rigathi Gachagua.
