Thousands of Kenyan professionals have been presented with new employment opportunities after the Agricultural Finance Corporation (AFC) announced a fresh recruitment drive for senior leadership and legal positions.
The vacancies, advertised on July 21, 2026, are part of AFC’s efforts to strengthen its institutional capacity in supporting Kenya’s agricultural sector.
The corporation is recruiting for the positions of Chief Human Capital and Administration Officer, Corporation Secretary, Chief Legal Services Officer, Head of Legal, Legal Officers and Legal Assistants.
Applicants must meet integrity requirements
In addition to the required academic qualifications and professional experience, applicants must submit several statutory clearance certificates before they can be considered.
These include:
- A Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).
- A valid Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) Tax Compliance Certificate.
- A Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) Clearance Certificate.
- A clearance certificate from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC).
Applicants are also required to submit a cover letter, an updated curriculum vitae (CV), copies of academic and professional certificates, a national identity card and other relevant supporting documents through the AFC online recruitment portal.
Applications close August 3
The deadline for submitting applications is Monday, August 3, 2026, at 5:00 p.m.
Applicants have been advised to begin processing statutory clearance certificates early to avoid delays that could affect the submission of complete applications.
They are also encouraged to carefully review the qualifications, job descriptions and experience requirements for each advertised position before applying.
The recruitment exercise comes as thousands of graduates and experienced professionals continue to compete for limited public sector opportunities.

According to AFC, the exercise reflects the government’s commitment to merit-based recruitment, transparency and compliance with Chapter Six of the Constitution, which sets standards for leadership, integrity and accountability in public service.
