Organisers say the break also allows players to rest and recharge ahead of the resumption of competitive fixtures, with teams continuing their pursuit of honours across various disciplines once action resumes.
The 2026 FEASSSA Games have brought together thousands of secondary school athletes from across East Africa competing in multiple sporting disciplines. With competitive action temporarily suspended, attention has shifted from the playing fields to culture, friendship and regional unity, underscoring the role of the Games in promoting both sporting excellence and East African integration.
Competitive matches are expected to resume tomorrow, with teams returning to the various venues to continue their campaigns as the competition reaches a crucial stage.
