Residents of Elgeyo Marakwet County are mourning the death of veteran teacher John Ruto, who dedicated many years to serving learners and communities through the teaching profession.
Ruto served as the headteacher of Kipchiloi Primary School from 2005, where he played a key role in guiding the institution and supporting the academic and personal development of pupils. After his tenure at Kipchiloi Primary School, he continued his teaching career at Lolgarini Primary School, where he remained committed to educating and mentoring learners.

His death has left family members, former colleagues, pupils and friends mourning a teacher remembered for his long service and contribution to education.
